Two song 7 inch for Brisbane 5 piece TRAVELS that is a precursor to an upcoming full length album due out soon. TRAVELS play a quirky melodic style that sounds like a mix of La Dispute, Saetia and Me Without You. For a band that I know very little about I was quite surprised when I put this on. This is really listenable and likeable as TRAVELS do play this style really well. The songs are quite lengthy and musically this ebbs and flows, with a tortured vocal backing that screams and speaks in tone. Rounded out with some very impressive artwork makes for a pretty awesome release. If you're a fan of this style, then definitely check out TRAVELS.
