Melbourne favourites The Smith Street Band have been busy; they really don’t know how to be anything else. As well as working on a batch of new tunes, they've put together an Australian tour, enlisting Poison City Weekender pals Joyce Manor (USA) and Cheap Girls (USA), who will both be making their first trip to Oz.
Melbourne is not known for producing weak-willed hardcore bands and Outsider's Code is no exception. They will be launching their debut LP "Exiled From Birth" next month with some of their favorite Melbourne bands, as well as Legions making the trek down from Sydney.

Mindsnare will be celebrating their 20th year anniversary as a band this year, having first formed way back in 1993. To celebrate and commerate the occasion they will be playing a string of shows in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Perth.
Canberra's I Exist are heading to Europe this June / July joining Harms Way and Twitching Tongues. Before the band departs, they will be playing a string of shows in Canberra, Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne in early June to rustle up some spending money for duty free shopping.
TOE TO TOE are set to team up with fellow veterans AGAINST (Brisbane), THROWDOWN (Sydney) and relative newcomers WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME (Perth) for a string of dates along the East Coast in NSW and QLD. All four bands are out on the road promoting their new records.
The Weekender 13 lineup has been announced with American bands Joyce Manor and Cheap Girls making the journey over to play, along with countryman Cory Brannan. Joining them will be a selection of the country's finest bands including The Smith Street Band, a reformed Blueline Medic, a now active again The Nation Blue and Tasmanians Luca Brasi.
One of the most recognizable names in the history of punk rock will be returning to speak on a number of topics. The former lead singer and songwriter for the legendary Dead Kennedys, is now focused primarily on spoken word, but continues on as a musician in numerous collaborations.
The legendary New York City hardcore band Youth of Today are heading to Australia this July, bringing with them the energy and emotion that make them one of the underground music scene’s most important groups ever.

Following an outstanding response to their 2012 Australian tour, Japanese three-piece Boris will return to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Hobart to play their classic cult album, FLOOD plus other popular tracks from their decorated career. Flood, the band’s third album, is essentially one single piece, explored and exploited throughout the album’s 70 minute duration.
Chicago's garage/ punk trio Daylight Robbery have announced they're headed to Australia for the first time this July. Emerging from Chicago's DIY scene in 2006, Daylight Robbery's sound blends elements of late 70's punk with dark, angular surf guitar and infectious male/ female vocal interplay.
