The first in the series of cover releases from H2O. A cover of one of my fave Circle Jerks tracks, "Beverly Hills" kicks things off and its great to hear Toby Morse hasn't changed his vocal style at all to suit. It sure is a brave band that tries to tackle Rancid covers as Matt Freeman's bass playing is really next level, this shines through with the bass intro of "Journey to the End of East Bay", you can almost hear the 100 takes it probably took to record. Again Toby pulls off the vocals and I think I like it more than the original. Wrapping things up is a classic rendition of Social Distortion's "Sick Boy" complete with gang vocals. Can not wait for the full album or the next 7 inch release.
