Gallows have detailed their new EP Death Is Birth, which will see release via Thirty Days Of Night on December 5 (digital) and December 13 (limited 7").  The cover art and track list for the EP, their first with new vocalist Wade MacNeil (ex-Alexisonfire), are available to preview.


The Bouncing Souls now have another live release on the market, this time in the form of a USB drive.  The group recorded the Los Angeles shows on their "eight albums in four nights" For All The Unheard tour this past weekend and seemingly mixed them down in record time.


Riot on the Dance Floor: The Story of Randy Now and City Gardens is a feature-length documentary from director Steve Tozzi. It tells the gritty story of one of New Jersey's most infamous clubs and its larger-than-life promoter through the recollected memories, stories, photographs and memorabilia of the people who lived for and by the music.


Set in a low-lit bar, this video premiere for "Empty Glass," from Empty Days and Sleepless Nights, shot by director Rob Soucy, captures the darker side of a seemingly victorious country still dealing with a lot of hurt. Like the brooding song waiting to release, the impressionistic narrative coalesces into a bar-wide fight at the emotional climax. 


Kicking off the new year touring as part of the Big Day Out, Parkway Drive has announced a run of regional dates for February and March. The Sick Summer II Tour commences on the Sunshine Coast on February 16 and will visit towns along the East Coast before it's last stop at Melbourne's Push Over Fest on March 12.


The Mighty Mighty Bosstones released a new song from their upcoming record The Magic Of Youth. It follows 2009's Pin Points and Gin Joints. The Magic Of Youth is set for a December 6 release via the band's own Big Rig Records. Click thru to preview the new track.


Back in May it was reported that Jos Houtveen of Seein Red/Lärm had developed major hearing problems and that all shows involving his bands were canceled. Now six months later it seems the bands have broken up for good as the condition has not improved.  


While out here on tour with the Foo Fighters, FUCKED UP have announced two sideshow dates in both Melbourne and Sydney. Finally today the venues and ticketing information is public. In Melbourne they are at the East Brunswick Club and in Sydney at The Standard.


New documentary, WE WERE FEARED, chronicles the rise and fall of the Cuckoo's Nest club in Costa Mesa and features vintage and/or modern interviews with the likes of Rikk Agnew, Tony Alva, Duane Peters, Steve Soto, Jello Biafra, Rodney Bingenheimer, Tony Cadena, Chuck Dukowski, Joe Escalante, Jack Grisham, Casey Royer and many, many more.
