I'm a bit of a late comer to the sensation that is Joyce Manor, as I initally passed them off as just another hype band. For the uninitiated, imagine a band that sounds a bit like early Alkaline Trio mixed with Jawbreaker, fronted by an almost at times Morrisey sounding vocalist. Nine songs delivered in 13 minutes on offer, with even a very clever cover version of "Video Killed The Radio Star" thrown in, that just happens to be one of the standout tracks. The production on this release sounds a lot cleaner than their debut, with perhaps more of a poppier feel to it too. Another impressive release for a band who continues to turn heads.
