Backtrack follow up 2009 EP 'Deal With The Devil', with twelve new tracks in the tradition of hard hitting core like No Warning, Breakdown, Cro Mags. While there seems to be a plethora of bands around currently playing this style, there is something about Backtrack that really helps them rise above the pack. The music is really well structured with plenty of room to breathe in breakdowns, while that traditional sped up verse riffage really propels things along. The more I listen to this band, the more I like them as vocally it's very appealing with a clean, raspy sound almost like a milder Scott Vogel at times. Good record, be sure to check them out on tour with Iron Mind in January.
