Debut eight song LP release for Melbourne band, Initials. Obviously growing up in Melbourne Initials have been influenced by the Arthouse mainstays A Death In The Family, as they play a similar melodic post punk sound, that at times also really reminds me of Blueline Medic, especially in terms of vocal delivery. Recorded with producer Sam Johnson (The Smith Street Band, A Death In The Family) and mastered by Jay Maas of Defeater, the album features guest appearances from Jamie Hay, Grace Lawry (Kissing Booth) and Kat Chish (Ramshackle Army). This album really sounds amazing in terms of production and musicianship & is a must for fans of the two bands aforementioned.
