It's pretty common knowledge that John Joseph has been doing walking tours of New York's famous Lower East Side area for a while now. At first I kind of discredited the idea, then after talking to Brooke who went on one of JJ's tours and wrote about it in her latest issue of "We're Unstoppable" fanzine, I looked into it a bit more. Check out some of the highlights..

Talk about the dream job to end all dream jobs. Flying around the world with Iron Maiden, photographically documenting the adventure along the way for a book. I'd give my right nut to do this, let alone get paid too and earn royalties off a book in the process. This looks nothing short of amazing.

And so the Counter Revolution acoustic in store appearances continue. After the success of MAKE DO AND MEND's instore show at Resist Records that both members of the Swellers and Hello Goodbye attended, both bands are now doing shows of their own this afternoon. Kick off is at 4:30 pm.

Today commemorates 25 years since the death of Metallica bass player, Cliff Burton. During a European tour when Metallica was promoting its latest album, Master Of Puppets, tragedy struck. The band’s tour bus skidded off the road in Sweden on the morning of September 27, 1986. Cliff Burton was dead at only 24 years of age.

A few weeks ago we told you that New York City hardcore legends Sick Of It All would be celebrating their 25th anniversary by releasing an album of re-recorded tracks, titled 'NON STOP". You can check out the first preview, a re-recorded version of "Built To Last," a song that appeared on the band's 1997 album of the same name.

Yesterday at Resist Records in Newtown, MAKE DO AND MEND were kind enough to do an in-store acoustic performance while out here as a part of the Soundwave Counter Revolution tour. They played a set of 6 songs, some new and unheard songs as well as a few old favourites to an appreciative crowd of well over 120 people.

Fat Wreck Chords has announced it will be reissuing the first five Lagwagon records as a box set. Each album will be remastered and come with extra demos and out takes from that era of the band. The first two Lagwagon records are pretty ground breaking for their time and definitely must haves.
