The recent reformation of Texas Is The Reason has proven to bemore than just a one off, with the band recently posting updates from Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore. The band ahve been recording their first new material in 16 years, working with producer J. Robbins (Jawbreaker, Against Me!, The Promise Ring).

Original band members – the Prince of Darkness himself: Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi will make a thunderous return to Australia in April 2013 for arena shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, in their first Aussie shows since 1974.

Topshelf Records have posted a music video for the song “I’ll Get By” by Piano's Become The Teeth taken from their album The Lack Long After. The video was records while the band toured the UK with Balance and Composure in 2012.

Helta Skelta Records have released Perth band, Agitated's debut 7" recorded with Tom Ware (Grim Fandango) with artwork by Glenno Smith (Chinese Burns Unit). Highly influenced by early 80s US hardcore but with an Australian edge.

Having recently reformed for a run of shows with Bodyjar and One Dollar Short, Sydney band IRRELEVANT have announced a headline show at the Annandale Hotel for Saturday December 22nd. Joining them on the bill will be LO! Harbourer and Boneless (new band feat. Ex Bad Blood members).

In an interesting development in the Pennywise camp, it has been announced that original frontman Jim Lindberg is back in the band after leaving in August of 2009. Guitarist Fletcher and Lindberg announced the news on a local LA radio station.

2013 marks 20 years of Anti-Flag. To mark the occasion they will be playing two very special shows in Sydney on December 29th celebrating the last days of their 19th year in existence. Over the two shows, the band will be splitting songs from all 8 of their albums.

But it was their focused, on point third album, 2012’s Open Your Heart, which won new fans’ hearts, with its goofy blues explosions, country-lovin’ dirges and straight-up indie punk anthems. Laneway Festival will mark The Men’s first trip to Oz.
