Today commemorates 25 years since the death of Metallica bass player, Cliff Burton. During a European tour when Metallica was promoting its latest album, Master Of Puppets, tragedy struck. The band’s tour bus skidded off the road in Sweden on the morning of September 27, 1986. Cliff Burton was dead at only 24 years of age.

A few weeks ago we told you that New York City hardcore legends Sick Of It All would be celebrating their 25th anniversary by releasing an album of re-recorded tracks, titled 'NON STOP". You can check out the first preview, a re-recorded version of "Built To Last," a song that appeared on the band's 1997 album of the same name.

Check out the first trailer for the documentary ORANGE COUNTY HARDCORE SCENSTER. This film covers the Orange County, CA hardcore scene from 1990 to 1997. In other Orange County news, NO FOR AN ANSWER just released a new 7 inch too.

Yesterday at Resist Records in Newtown, MAKE DO AND MEND were kind enough to do an in-store acoustic performance while out here as a part of the Soundwave Counter Revolution tour. They played a set of 6 songs, some new and unheard songs as well as a few old favourites to an appreciative crowd of well over 120 people.

Pre orders are now up for the latest release through ARREST RECORDS a split 7 inch between MARK MY WORDS from the NSW Central Coast and SUFFER SURVIVE from Germany. Two songs from each band on a limited run of colour, so get in quick.

Fat Wreck Chords has announced it will be reissuing the first five Lagwagon records as a box set. Each album will be remastered and come with extra demos and out takes from that era of the band. The first two Lagwagon records are pretty ground breaking for their time and definitely must haves.

Melbourne’s EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING, has announced the forthcoming release of ‘SO MANY THINGS’, the singles and rarities collection to be released on the 21st of October. This release is a collection of 22 rare 7" recordings and non-album tracks from 2004-2011 including covers from the Go-Gos and The Chosen Few.

If you're in a band and thinking of making your first film clip then take a leaf out of the book from Tasmania's LUCA BRASI. Their first film clip for the song H.Q. features the sort of shenanigans we can all relate to from house parties we've attended.

The voice behind such bands as As Friends Rust, Morning Again, Culture and even a stint in Shai Hulud returns to the fold with latest project ON BODIES. Retaining a similiar vocal style to last band As Friends Rust, but with perhaps a harder egde, On Bodies is definitely worth checking out.

You might know him best as the guitarist from Ten Yard Fight or In My Eyes or even as a former pro skater, but Anthony Pappalardo is no doubt one very talented dude. He's just released his second book (with the awesome Radio Silence being his first) and teamed up with Max Morton for Live... Suburbia!
