Hostile Objects and Sumeru NSW/Queensland north coast tour
Hostile Objects (Sydney based hardcore punk outfit boasting ex members of Extortion, Grand Fatal, Murder/Blasting Process, Massappeal, Downtime) and heavyweight hardcore riff masters Sumeru (featuring members of Lomera, Blkout, Firearms and ex No Apologies, Toe To Toe, Deadstare), also from Sydney, have decided to join forces for a short run of shows along NSW & Queensland's east coast.
Hostile Objects recently launched their Young God 7" EP/digital download (on new label, Inner City Uprising) in their home city. The EP features five tracks, some of which have already received regular airplay on Triple J's Short Fast Loud punk/HC radio show. In their short time together they've already supported the likes of The Bronx (USA), Burning Love (Canada), MDC (USA), Toe To Toe, Mindsnare and Extortion.
Sumeru were listed as one of Blunt magazine's top twenty bands to watch in 2014 – and for good reason. You want heavy and intense? This band has it in spades. Their debut EP has been very well received, succinctly described by one reviewer as "heavy stoner riffage with massive amounts of groove, pissed off guttural screams and a tinge of hardcore".
