CRUCIAL FIVE

I’ve got to admit I never really understood the hype behind Title Fight. Their first album, “The Last Thing You Forget” really did nothing for me, but perhaps it was the master-stroke of adding producer Walter Schreifels that turned the tide for me with their new record “Shed”. Featuring members of hardcore bands Bad Seed, Disengage and Stick Together, Title Fight deliver a style of music that really mimics melodic punk bands Lifetime or even early era Saves The Day. Vocal delivery at times sounds like a mix between early Get Up Kids or Lifetime’s Ari Katz or even Adelaide’s own Paper Arms. Thirteen songs on offer here of a melodic punky tempo with track 7 “Safe In Your Skin” and track 12 “Greenwich Mean Time” following more of a slower Jawbreaker sound.
