Perth's Flowermouth (yet another a great Perth band) and Byron Bay boys Postblue have released a 4 track split through Hindsight Records ( /100 tapes). Both bands have a 90s grunge/emo feel to them taking from older bands like Texas Is The Reason and Sunny Day Real Estate, with a few modern influences like Title Fight and almost Seahaven. Postblue's first two tracks really kick off where Lap Year left us. 'Posture' has a nice slow jam feel to it whereas 'Kids Need Jesus' kicks right in with a huge riff and smashing drums. Flowermouth's side to the split consists of two tracks 'Tell Me' and 'Isolated' that sound a lot like the better of the 'Run For Cover' bands (early Basement and Title Fight). Both bands are touring on the East Coast, details for that tour are here. - Cav
