Released through Broken Hive Records, "Fresh Air/ Dead Lungs", is the Melbourne metalcore band's debut album. Musically this is kind of a mix between Miles Away and pre Isolation era Carpathian perhaps. There is some top notch musicianship on show here and the melodic guitars really compliment each other well in songs and the strongest parts of the record really are the more melodic interludes. That being said, most songs hit a predictable breakdown stage that I find a bit unnecessary and annoying. There are some interesting vocal effects to mix things up and keep it interesting. In all a solid effort from a band I'm sure we will be hearing more about soon.
