Defeater's lastest record, 'Letters Home', is another incredible installment to their near perfect (so far) discography. The album is similar to 'Empty Days & Sleepless Nights', in a sense of song structure, and anyone who enjoys their music will fall in love with the album from incredible opener, 'Bastards', till 'Bled Out', the ending track. The contrast between hard hitting aggresive blasts and melodic interludes, as in the past, is perfectly balanced and makes the album that much more enjoyable to listen to. Anyone familiar with the band will know there is only one way to listen to a new Defeater album. Front to back, reading along, thinking about the story portayed through the music. - Cav
