Tassie's favourite sons Luca Brasi have returned with a brand new song, Got To Give now available on all digital platforms.
Following a mammoth 12 months off the back of the acclaimed album If This Is All We're Going To Be, the four piece have toured relentlessly. Crisscrossing Australia with compatriots Violent Soho and The Smith Street Band, Asian and European dates, a sold out U.K. tour with Moose Blood and Pup, tearing it up at festivals like Laneway, Unify Gathering, Party In The Paddock and Festival Of The Sun all summer long, plus nailing their own wall to wall sold out headline runs; the band are in explosive form. With Got To Give we're handed the first taste of their evolved musicality and knack for crafting a catchy tune with weight.
Comments vocalist and bass player Tyler Richardson, "the last year has surpassed any hopes and dreams we could have had, I can't even express how stoked we are to get to do this type of stuff. People often tell me how thankful they are for the band, and how stoked they are. All I can ever reply is that from our end, it's just disbelief and we're more thankful for them than they could imagine. Got To Give is about that exact feeling, and needing that kind of support wherever you can get it. Being able to rely on the ones you need and love when things change is something I'm eternally grateful for.”
Recorded with frequent collaborator Jimmy Balderston of Grenadiers in Adelaide, and mixed by Jason Livermore at the infamous Blasting Room (Rise Against, Descendents), Richardson says "being able to share something new is always bloody exciting, and nerve-racking. Working with Jimmy is always a good time, he's a total legend and always brings out the best in us. Having Jason at the Blasting Room then weave his own magic on the song is awesome. He and that studio have done some of our favourite work, so it was an easy decision to have him on board".
The band will be giving Got To Give its first live airing later this month as Luca Brasi take to the road on their biggest headline run yet, supported by Baltimore's Pianos Become The Teeth and fellow Taswegians Maddy Jane and Speech Patterns.
