Debut 6 song EP for Byron Bay’s Hugo Costin (formerly of Dead Ends) playing under the name of Toy Boats. Playing a cleaner, mainly acoustic style, much akin to what you’ve come to expect from former Waxwing frontman, Rocky Votolato, the song writing on these 6 songs really shows off a maturity well beyond his years. While the ever so catchy song “Rent” is carried over from his 2am Bones demo along with “Broken Arms”, the other 4 new tracks show a natural refinement in sound and an amazing at times vocal range. File under easy listening and instantly likeable, an excellent debut.
