After 11 years out of the game, Strife return. While last effort, “Angermeans”, is very much a forgettable record, Strife have set the bar pretty high for themselves trying to produce something that will match their first two releases, “One Truth” & “In This Defiance”. Except for the addition of Sepultura drummer Igor Cavalera, this is the same Strife lineup from the past and this record sounds like the Strife you are hoping to hear, with that metal tinged old school approach popularized by bands like Madball and Terror these days. It also features guest vocals from Scott Vogel on a song that sounds like it could have been lifted off a Terror record. Does it match up? Well yes it does actually, trouble is the rest of the game have since caught up to Strife.
