To the uninitiated, Burning Love is a group from Toronto, Canada with a chip on their shoulder and electric blood in their veins; their output a desperate, venomous and informed rock n' roll fury that sways and swaggers somewhere between hardcore punk and the darker side of blues gone wrong.

FAT WRECK CHORDS five piece punk band POUR HABIT all the way from Compton, California who first appeared on Australian shores back in 2009 supporting label mates NOFX and punk rock heavyweights BAD RELIGION are returning once again.

Known for masterfully mixing a ferocious blend of melody and brutality into memorable metal breakdowns, this beloved five-piece have built a reputation for delivering genre-defining albums and frenetic live performances, which Australian audiences will be privy to this year when the band hits Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth on their first ever Australian tour.

The Smith Street Band have announced local supports for their national 'Sunshine & Technology' Aug/ Sep tour. Commencing on Aug 17th in Hobart, the album launch tour also hits Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra.

The likes of Mindsnare, Stolen Youth, I Exist and The Hard Targets (a new Melb band featuring Nigel from Mindsnare) will be joinging Frenzal Rhomb on their upcoming run of dates.

JONAH MATRANGA is essentially unique. His music is somewhere in between Nick Drake, Cheap Trick and Sinead O'Connor... but not really. Over the last 15 years, he’s fronted rock bands (Far, Gratitude, New End Original) and made more solo-ish albums as onelinedrawing and simply under his name. He’s made records with budgets ranging from $300 to $300,000.

Poison City Records is delighted to reveal that The Smith Street Band will release their second album Sunshine And Technology on August 24, 2012. To celebrate its release the band will tour extensively, playing headlining shows in capital cities Australia-wide.

This July/August, two of the world’s most exciting hardest bands, Harm's Way and Phantoms will be dominating the East Coast of Australia on a co-headline tour sure to ignite the pit. Harm’s Way from Chicago, USA have been described as a “rewarding journey through the hardest of sonic assaults” and are notorious for their intense live shows.

Having just released his latest full length album "40 Miler" through Resist Records and Chunksaah, former AVAIL frontman Tim Barry will be returning to our shores in August, bringing Josh Small along for the ride too.

BASTARDFEST is back to brand your souls! 2011 gave every bastard in this country a chance to embrace each other to observe and relish the cream of Australian heavy music talent. Based on the huge success of last year, BASTARDFEST is once again a national celebration with EVERY capital city in the country.
