Today commemorates 25 years since the death of Metallica bass player, Cliff Burton. During a European tour when Metallica was promoting its latest album, Master Of Puppets, tragedy struck. The band’s tour bus skidded off the road in Sweden on the morning of September 27, 1986. Cliff Burton was dead at only 24 years of age.

A few weeks ago we told you that New York City hardcore legends Sick Of It All would be celebrating their 25th anniversary by releasing an album of re-recorded tracks, titled 'NON STOP". Yesterday at Resist Records in Newtown, MAKE DO AND MEND were kind enough to do an in-store acoustic performance while out here as a part of the Soundwave Counter Revolution tour. They played a set of 6 songs, some new and unheard songs as well as a few old favourites to an appreciative crowd of well over 120 people.

Fat Wreck Chords has announced it will be reissuing the first five Lagwagon records as a box set. Each album will be remastered and come with extra demos and out takes from that era of the band. The first two Lagwagon records are pretty ground breaking for their time and definitely must haves.

Melbourne’s EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING, has announced the forthcoming release of ‘SO MANY THINGS’, the singles and rarities collection to be released on the 21st of October.
