Playing with style and substance, Phantoms have positioned themselves amongst the best hardcore bands in Australia in their relatively short history, Monday July 23rd will see the release of Phantoms new 7’ “S.O.S” on Sydney independent label Broken Hive Records. “S.O.S” is the follow up release to Phantoms acclaimed debut album “As Above, So Below” on Melbourne’s Trial And Error Records.

“S.O.S” represents a step up in song writing for the band, their characteristic driving hardcore being blended with classic hardcore and thrash elements, delivering four songs that are sure to become crowd favourites and ignite audiences nationwide in a heartbeat. The record was recorded by Shane Edwards at Electric Sun Studios in Blacktown and captures the raw driving energy of Phantoms live show as well as paying homage to their hardcore and metal roots.

To launch the release the band will take to the road once again in July/August for a co-headline tour with Chicago, Illinois wrecking ball Harm’s Way. Phantoms will showcase the new tracks off the release as well as crowd favourites in what is one of the hottest hardcore tours of the year.

Broken Hive Records continue a busy 12 months, this being the third release of the label in its short 7 month existence. Broken Hive aim’s to deliver quality music to Australian audiences through touring and releases, Phantoms marks another piece in the puzzle for the growing label.
