Threshold

After eighteen months of honing their brutal metallic hardcore sound, Threshold are ready to release their much anticipated EP ‘Descent to Misery’ this winter.

Formed in late 2022, the band wasted no time building a name in the Australian hardcore scene, securing supports for household names like Speed, Sunami, Candy and The Acacia Strain and consistently sharing stages with Australian heavyweights such as AWOL, Iron Mind, Knuckledragger, Algor Mortis and more. This work ethic has paid off with a reputation for tight performances and a violent crowd reaction.

Descent to Misery is a flurry of vicious riffs, crushing breakdowns and spite-filled lyrics. There are a range of influences on display, including classic Connecticut hardcore like Hatebreed and 100 Demons, the evil euro metalcore of Deformity, and punishing death metal like Dying Fetus and Internal Bleeding. In short - this is Threshold at their most potent yet.

The band will self-release the EP on June 7 through digital platforms with preorders going live for a 7" also on this date, before hitting the road throughout June and July this year, joined by carefully selected local supports at each stop.
