Northeast hardcore outfit Missing Link is ready to pummel audiences with their ferocious metallic hardcore, honed to a razors edge by years of experience in the studio and on the stage. The band recently announced their debut album, Watch Me Bleed, out June 7th on Triple B Records. Today, they share the formidable second single “Numbers On The Board,” a critique of the shamelessness of social media that perfectly captures the contempt the band has for fakes and phonies. The riffs hit heavy, supported by blazing fast drumming, with numerous opportunities for audiences to demonstrate their style in the pit courtesy of some truly sinister breakdowns. Fellow hardcore heavy hitters Gridiron appear on the track, lending their characteristically menacing gang vocals to the fray.
“This song is about the difference between real hardcore kids and the TikTok / Twitter types who critique it from the outside…and basically telling them to shut the fuck up.” says vocalist Mike Ryan. “We care about and are influenced by music that’s intense and hits hard, played by people who SHOULD be playing that type of music.”
Formed during the peak of COVID, Missing Link first broke out with 2020’s My Time on the Cross EP and 2022’s No Saving Grace EP before signing with Triple B in Summer 2023. Watch Me Bleed was recorded with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording in Chicago and the eleven songs are exactly as bleak and brutal as you’d expect from a lineup that shares members with Internal Bleeding, Pain Of Truth, Recon, and Blood Runs Cold to name a few. Adding more fuel to the fire, the album features guest appearances from Justice Tripp, Richie Krutch, Dustin Lovell, Bruce Lepage and Eloise Chamber.
Missing Link is Mike Ryan (vocals), Victor Klipp (bass), Evan Perino (guitar), Nik Hansen (guitar), Chris Mcarthy (guitar) and Paul Dove (drums).
