Craigos from Midnight Funeral has announced a limited vinyl pressing of Break Even's debut EP "Young At Heart", first released back in 2006 on Common Bond Records. The 6 track EP will be pressed as a 12" at 45 rpm and is due out on the 6th of July.
Break Even - Young at Heart 12"
After forming in 2005, I was luck enough to play with Break Even in Perth the last time In Name and Blood toured there, and I was blown away. I asked Mawds what they were planning release wise, and he told me they had just agreed to do their first EP, Young at Heart, with local label Common Bond. I was bummed, but I totally understood. A young local band, a great local label with some of Perth's best bands on it...
Fast forward a couple of years and the band is taking over the world, and doing what everyone in a local band wants to do: touring and releasing great music.
Then the band announced their break up. Something that may not have shocked some people, but did upset their adoring fans. In the back ground, I had been talking to Mawds about helping him to release their first record, 2006's Young at Heart, onto LP. Then the band announced that their last shows will be at 2012's Hardcore Festival in Sydney, so I lit the fire under his ass, and I am happy to announce that pre orders for Break Even's Young at Heart 12" are now available.
The record will have new artwork, and will be available on 3 colours. 100 on Black for the Pre-order, 250 on Blue to celebrate the original artworks colour theme and 150 on white that will only be available at the bands last 2 shows in Sydney, and will be machine numbered and stamped inner sleeves. This record will be cut at 45rpm for maximum loudness!
Pre-orders are available now, and I suggest you don't snooze on this...
