Newcastle band TAKEN BY FORCE have announced that they have broken up.

So after 10 years as a band, it's time for TBF to finish up.

Between the five of us, we have families, houses, work commitments, have moved overseas and unfortunately can no longer give enough time to the band as we'd all like too.

We want to take this chance to thank all of our friends for all of their help over this past decade.

Special thanks to The VFC, everyone in the Newcastle Hardcore scene that's supported us from day one. To all the bands we've played with and have given us a place to crash or lent us gear - thank you! Special mention to the guys in Dropsaw, The Dead Walk! Mark my words and many others who put us on shows when we first started and Thick as blood for taking us out on our first national tour.

Props to Choppaz, and now Pete at 1054 Records, Scott at Old School Cartel, as well as Dan at Destroy All Lines for all their help with our releases and tours.

Big thanks to our boy Ev at Versus Merch for hooking us up in more ways than one and for his hospitality in Melbourne whenever we came down.

Thanks to every person who's supported us, bought merch or record, downloaded/streamed the tracks or come to a show. It means the world to us.
