And the ongoing saga between the Cro Mags and Harley Flanagan has taken another strange twist...
On Friday various metal and other music websites led by the New York Post, posted that the current members of the Cro-Mags are in the process of suing ex-bassist Harley Flanagan over the backstage altercation that took place at New York's Webster Hall last year.
Flanagan was originally charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly bit current Cro-Mags bass player Michael Couls and slashed William Berardo with a knife. Charges against Flanagan were ultimately dropped, but the NY Post claimed that Couls and Berardo are now suing Flanagan for the attack in addition to suing Webster Hall for failing to provide adequate security.
Cro-Mags frontman John Joseph has responded to the news, stating that no one from the band is suing Harley Flanagan:"TO THE WEBSITES POSTING LIES: The Cro-Mags aren't suing anyone so get your f*cking fax straight. I really don't give two shits about all this soap opera bullsh*t because I'm too busy doing positive endeavors and i stay out of it, but when you outright post lies I'm gonna speak on it. It's amazing how the new jacks love to anonymously pop shit from behind the safety of a computer keyboard. 'Signs of the Times' huh? I'm just glad i grew up in a day where people faced each other if they had a gripe because this internet shit popping is for Cowards. Now, for everyone else in the Detroit, Chicago, St Louis area much love and hope to see you this weekend. jj"
