Philadelphia 6-piece The Wonder Years have today announced their 2025 Australian tour - the band’s first time down under in over 7 years, where they'll be joined by very special guests with California punks Joyce Manor and Melbourne up-and-comer Suzi on all dates.
The Wonder Years will be bringing a career-spanning set to stages across the country, with dates in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
“We are absolutely ecstatic to be coming back to Australia early next year. It's been far too long and we're extra excited that these are venue shows where we can play full and long sets for y'all. Also, to somehow make all of this even more incredible, we get to have Joyce Manor, one of our all time favourite bands, and Suzi, who have quickly become one of our new favourites, on these shows with us. It's truly a dream tour in dream places and we hope to see you there.” DAN CAMPBELL, THE WONDER YEARS
Forming in 2005, The Wonder Years have become a mainstay on the pop-punk/alternative scene over the last two decades, with classic albums such as ‘The Upsides’ (2010), ‘Suburbia I’ve Given You All And Now I’m Nothing’ (2011), ‘The Greatest Generation’ (2013) and ‘No Closer To Heaven’ establishing them as one of the premier pop punk bands throughout the 2010s.
After 7 full length records, two EPs and array of splits/compilations, the band have continued to grow their passionate fan-base over the years - with widespread acclaim their most recent full length LP ‘The Hum Goes On Forever’ (2022) - which received strong praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Kerrang! And Exclaim! upon it’s release.
The band have released a string of singles since their last full length LP, including ‘Year Of The Vulture’ earlier this year - a track that sees The Wonder years at their very best; with thrashy guitars, and frontman Dan Campbell’s signature unhinged vocals taking centre stage.
