1054 Records are proud to announce that this November we will be touring legendary Hardcore / Metal band SWORN ENEMY for the very first time on Australian soil!
It’s been a very long time coming and we are super excited to unleash their tried & tested brand of in your face brutal Hardcore over 5 nights starting in Adelaide & winding up in Brisbane, with dates in Geelong, Melbourne & Sydney along the way …. it promises to be a great run so get out & catch one of the all time best. All local supports to be announced very soon & we are truly aiming to catch the spirit & sound of SWORN ENEMY by putting on some great mixed bills of all things Hardcore & Metal.
SWORN ENEMY hailing from Queens NYC have been a staple for every Hardcore fan’s diet dating back to 1997 when they first launched under their previous name MINDSET before changing it to SWORN ENEMY in 1999, due to legal issues, & releasing their classic debut EP “Negative Outlook” that same year under Stillborn Records. 2002 was where they really cemented their spot in NYHC history with the epic masterpiece “As Real As It Get’s” on Elektra Records in March that same year & also landing a spot on the massive OZZFEST. This album is still considered by many to be one of the true landmark NYHC releases delivering Hardcore at it’s most brutal & raw with Sal screaming his way through, spitting venom as in his unique style.
Bring on 2006 which finally saw the release of their 2nd full length “Beginning of The End” which saw them take a decidedly more thrash metal style while never losing the traditional NYHC style that they represent so well. “Maniacal” the 3rd album was then unleashed in 2008 followed shortly after by “Total World Domination” in 2009 … both these albums following the trend of the 2006 release in a musical sense. We then had to wait until 2014 for the next instalment “Living On Borrowed Time” which yet again does not disappoint and delivers typical SWORN ENEMY violence the way it should be .
Throughout the years, despite lineup & label changes SWORN ENEMY has stood tall and gone about their business tirelessly touring & playing shows all over …. So it is fitting that after nearly two decades we finally get to see them tear it up on stage here in Australia.
