Still absolutely buoyant from their 30th anniversary tour AND the world-wide release of their best album-to-date “Peel Me Like A Egg”, Sydney’s colourful rocking identities THE HARD-ONS come bearing good news for music lovers and sports fans alike.
May 2016 will see the Hard-ons shrug off their recent misfortune, whereby their January tour of Japan was sadly aborted for health reasons, and hit the stage again. This time, the Hard-ons will be a FOUR-PIECE again, with original vocalist/drummer Keish “Velvet Fog” de Silva permanently returning to the fold as frontman!
Every show promises to be a special affair, as the expanded, new, and revitalised Hard-ons flex their considerable and charismatic musical muscle: to sum up, nothing and everything has changed. Hard-ons: Very exciting as ever, but a little bit better.
These shows are not to be missed!
"I always liked Keish, since primary school. He knew he was always welcome back to the Hard-ons. He brings with him back to the band special talents beyond vocals. We will not be playing nostalgia sets, as we did for the 30th anniversary shows in 2014. We are getting together a set for this line-up that will take into consideration a few old tracks from the past, and brand new material written for and knocked into shape together as the 4 piece. We are all pretty keen to move into a new phase of the Hard-ons. HARD-ONS: still the same, just a little better."
"The four other bands on the bill CLOWNS, FLOUR, MILKK and BABY MACHINE are exhibits A B C and D as to the idea that Australia is still a ridiculous hotbed of fantastic underground original music. We are very excited to be sharing a bill with these guys, please check them out."
