The Slow Death and Laura Palmer Australia 2014

The Slow Death hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota are a notorious punk rock super group of sorts boasting illumni from bands such The Ergs, Dillinger Four and The Soviettes. Fronted by the inimitable Jesse Swan Thorson the band has carved out a name for themselves in the US underground with hard touring, hard partying and high quality punk rock records.

The Slow Death are heading to Australia for the first time this April straight off the back of a US tour with good buddies Off With Their Heads with who they share a similar sound.

Hailing from Melbourne Laura Palmer have been operating for slightly under a year. Formed with a love of Twin Peaks and powerful Punk/Pop Music the band was formed in mid 2013 amid the heart of a Melbourne Winter.

The band have already played extensively around Australia with bands such as Snuff, Off with Their Heads and Paper Arms. Taking influence from groups such as Iron Chic, Jawbreaker and Husker Du the band focuses on quality songwriting drawing from the members years of experience in international touring punk bands. Laura Palmer are supporting their first EP that will be released in conjunction with the tour.
