Chances are you have heard about Twitching Tongues in the last couple of years. The band has divided hardcore and metal audiences who attempt to draw precise genre lines around their music. Combining crushing metallic riffs and melody to create a groove laden dirge of pure darkness, Twitching Tongues might remind you of other bands but are nothing like anything you have heard. Having formed in 2010, the band was quick to release their debut album “Sleep Therapy” in 2012, quickly followed by the head turning “Preacher Man” 7” which would signal the ferocious sophomore album, 2013’s “In Love There Is No Law” and a more mature and hardened band. For the first time this May, Twitching Tongues will touch down on Australian shores for a run of shows up the east coast including a headlining spot on Break The Ice in Melbourne. Having cut their teeth on stages across the Northern Hemisphere, the band are a tight oiled unit and are ready to bring their signature darkness to Australia.
Joining them on the tour will be Canberra’s sons of destruction, I Exist. Having signed to Prosthetic Records internationally and releasing their third album “From Darkness” (Resist/Prosthetic), the last 12 months have been busy for the sextet from the nation’s capital. Known for their upbeat live onslaught of noise and good times, I Exist are back to bring their triple riff guitar assault to audiences alongside European tourmates Twitching Tongues.
