Hard Skin appeared on the world stage in 1996 when they sent a demo tape to 5 of the top Oi/Street Punk labels. They sat back and watched as all the labels fought tooth and nail over there infectious sing-along terrace anthem's, the like of which hadn’t been heard since the heady days of the Cockney Rejects and Cock Sparrer. The finally put out their debut ‘Hard Nut’s Hard C***t’s’ on Helen of Oi! “because they came up with the goods”. The LP received praise all over the world and got them on the front cover of Maximum Rock n Roll amongst others

Their next release Same Meat Different Gravy delivered a further serving of what the punks and skins loved and more touring cemented them into the punk scene as a must see band. With their cheeky South London manner and a no holds barred approach to playing, not to mention classic tune after tune, Hard Skin had arrived. They reclaimed OI! from the weak wanna be American bands and now they are heading down to Oz.

Out to promote their third LP, On The Balls and it’s sister LP, Why Do Birds Suddenly Appear, Hard Skin have been touring constantly all over the world with dates in the UK, Europe, throughout the USA and Japan. Well, we found out that they had a couple of days off and asked them if they wanted to head to Australia for a few shows before heading home to Blighty. Being the top South East London geezers that they are, and after a bribe of beer and fags, they agreed.

But the time is tight, so they can only get a few shows in. So book your flights, polish your boots and get on over to see Hard Skin in full flight.

At the request of the band, the great Sydney band Stanley Knife will also be playing all these shows along with a stellar local support.
