Apart From This' debut album 'In Gloom' is a huge leap forward in song writing and production for this young Melbourne four piece, combining 90's influenced bummer-punk with elements of shoegaze and a fierce post-hardcore drive pioneered by the likes of Texas Is The Reason and Rival Schools.Over a year and a half in the making, "In Gloom" is the band's strongest and most focused material to date. The band once again recorded and mixed the material with Sam Johnson (The Smith Street Band, 50 Lions, Anchors) at Three Phase Studios in Melbourne, and the mastering duties were then handed over to Bill Henderson (Daylight, Balance And Composure, Title Fight) at Azimuth Mastering in New Jersey.

The band will be playing "In Gloom" in its entireity at their launch show on Friday May 24th at The Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne. Joining them will be Toy Boats from Byron Bay and Ceres.

There will also be a limited cassette tape version of the album for sale.

"So for our release show we will be handing out limited In Gloom tapes /30 to the first 30 people who walk in. The tape on the left however will be on sale for 5 bucks at the show. Get in quick and don't miss out!"
