BWP

AUSTRALIA THE WAIT IS OVER. BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL ARE HITTING OUR SHORES THIS MAY. COMING ALONG FOR THE RIDE MELBOURNE'S WARBRAIN AND THORNS.

FORMED IN 2006, THE QUINTET HAVE SPENT THE PAST FEW YEARS FURIOUSLY GRINDING THE UNDERGROUND CIRCUIT IN THE TRUEST D.I.Y SPIRIT IMAGINABLE. SELF-FUNDING AND LARGELY SELF-RELEASING TWO FULL LENGTH ALBUMS (2006‘S FORGOTTEN SOUL & 2010‘S THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL) AND AN E.P (2011’S SLEEP PARALYSIS), BWP HAVE BUILT UP A CULTISHLY DEVOTED AND FRENZIED FANBASE, BOTH AT HOME AND IN MAINLAND EUROPE, AND ASCENDED TO THE TOP OF FESTIVAL BILLS, UNDER THE RADAR OF THE MAINSTREAM.

IN OCTOBER 2012 BWP MADE THEIR FIRST STEPS TOWARDS WIDER RECOGNITION, MAKING A FEVERISHLY AWAITED RETURN WITH THEIR NEW FULL LENGTH OPUS, SCATTER THE ASHES. RECORDED AT STUDIO 6 IN SWINDON WITH STU MCKAY, AND MASTERED IN NEW YORK BY ALAN DOUCHES (CONVERGE, MASTODON, DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN), SCATTER THE ASHES MARKED BWP’S FINEST HOUR. DRAWING INFLUENCE FROM DOOM, SLUDGE AND METALLIC HARDCORE, THE BWP ASSAULT IS ONE LIKE NO OTHER: AS VISCERAL AS IT IS ACCESSIBLE, THE QUINTET EFFORTLESSLY BLEND SNARLING RIFFS AND DEVASTATING GROOVES WITH UNIQUE BUT DISTINCTLY MEMORABLE VOCAL HOOKS TO CREATE AN GLORIOUSLY GRIM WALL OF SOUND, CRUSHINGLY HEAVY AND ANTHEMIC IN EQUAL MEASURE.

SINCE THE ALBUM’S RELEASE, BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL HAVE FOCUSSED ON HONING THEIR LIVE SHOW TO PERFECTION IN PREPARATION FOR WHAT WILL BE THEIR BUSIEST YEAR ON THE ROAD TO DATE. KICKING OFF THEIR 2013 SCHEDULE IN MARCH AS MAIN SUPPORT TO CANCER BATS ACROSS THE UK, BWP WILL HIT EUROPE, JAPAN, AUSTRALIA AND SE ASIA ON BACK TO BACK RUNS BETWEEN MARCH AND JUNE, AND HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED ON SOME OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS UK & EUROPEAN METAL AND HARDCORE FESTIVALS FOR THE SUMMER SEASON.

PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THIS NEXT CHAPTER IN BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL’S HISTORY; THE UNDERGROUND IS THEIRS, NOW THEY’RE COMING FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD.

JOINING BWP WILL BE WARBRAIN. ASIDE FROM A FEW SHOWS IN THEIR NATIVE MELBOURNE AND A COUPLE OF APPEARENCES IN SYDNEY, WARBRAIN HAVE BEEN PRETTY QUIET SINCE THEIR AUSTRALIAN TOUR LAST YEAR WITH XIBALBA. THE BAND HAVE BEEN BUSY WRITING AND RECORDING THEIR DEBUT LP AND SPLIT 7” ON SIX FEET UNDER RECORDS WITH CALIFORNIANS MINUS. WITH THAT INTERNATIONAL RELEASE GAINING THEM ATTENTION WORLDWIDE AND THEIR MUCH ANITCIPATED LP ON THE WAY, THIS COULD BE THE YEAR THAT WARBRAIN GO GLOBAL. CATCH THEM BEFORE THEY GET BUSY ELSEWHERE.

SUPPORT AGAIN FROM MELBOURNE, POSSIBLY AUSTRALIAS HEAVIEST HARDCORE BAND, THORNS. FRESH OFF THE BACK OF THEIR FIRST AUSTRALIAN TOUR WITH RELENTLESS, THESE MELBOURNE STALWARTS HAVE NO INTENTION OF SLOWING DOWN. WITH AN APPEARANCE SCHEDULED FOR THIS YEARS BREAK THE ICE FEST AND THEN PLANS TO RECORD THEIR DEBUT LP THIS WINTER, THIS MAY BE THE LAST TIME YOU SEE THEIR NAME AT THE BOTTOM OF A TOUR POSTER.
