Byron Bay's SHACKLES have posted an update about their upcoming and current releases as well as news on their Melbourne tour.
"As far as the 2 new E.Ps go- the S/T mini LP is mastered and already at the plant, it should be ready in the coming weeks and will be out through Arrest Records. The 'Disposed Of' 7" has had a few set backs, but it looks as though everything is coming together. The layout is done and the final mix is off to be mastered by Carl Saff and then it will be off to the plant and then put out through Urbn Rage Records hopefully within the next 3 months.
As you may know the Worn Out split is out on tape and the vinyl will be coming soon if all goes to plan, as the test press is on its way (the Worn Out guys have already approved). Hopefully we'll have the 7's in time for the Melbourne shows."
Press Release for the SHACKL∑S S/T Single Sided 12”
SHACKL∑S were, until early last year, just a locally known hardcore band from Byron Bay. January 2012 saw SHACKL∑S release their first album “Maunder” on Arrest Records Australia, to much acclaim and sold out of the 7” within 6 months.
Late last year we saw the follow up with “Dissolve to Nothing” and tracks on a Split release “Drawn and Quartered”, both on Arrest records Australia.
Throughout 2012, SHACKL∑S toured most of Australia’s cities and in their time away from touring they were writing and recording. SHACKL∑S is unique in that they have two available drummers and this has created diversity in their songs, depending on which drummer was available. SHACKL∑S S/T was recorded with Ben Smith who is also in the band “Ghost Town”, and he has helped write some of their fastest and heaviest blasts of noise.
If you thought their previous releases were heavy, BE WARNED this release is the next level of brutality on vinyl. SHACKL∑S are ready to take these songs and lay waste to any venue and writhing bodies inside them.
Available in two colours of Clear Vinyl (Out of 100) and Black Vinyl (Out of 200).
The album will be available online and in stores from late March.
