Returning for its second year, Break The Ice 2013 promises to be one of the most anticipated events of 2013. Expanding from a single day in its debut year, Break The Ice will now take place over 2 mammoth days, each day jam packed with the best hardcore bands from around the world and the finest Australia has to offer.
Sharing the headlining duties for Break The Ice 2013 will be the legendary Bane (USA) and Cold World (USA). Starting out in 1995, Bane has influenced countless bands and have written some of the most timeless songs in modern hardcore. They are a band that has stayed true to their message and always strived as hard as they can, their live shows are as stirring as they are memorable.
Cold World birthed a new sound in hardcore by infusing hip hop elements like sampling in their music, receiving both praise and condemnation for their innovation. Cold World have been quiet since last album “Dedicated To Babies Who Came Feet First” but 2013 will see them resurface and dominate with a new album and before that, their debut Australian trip for Break The Ice 2013.
Rounding out the internationals will be LA kings, Rotting Out (USA). The release of their debut album Street Prowl and relentless touring across the US and the world have seen Rotting Out grow from strength the strength. Rotting Out will bring their skate hardcore grooves to Australia for the first time for Break The Ice 2013.
Break The Ice 2013 will also feature the best in Australian hardcore, such as a special reunion by Phantoms and sets by a new generation of bands like Survival and Endless Heights, plus more to be announced.
