After months of speculation, THE REPLACEMENTS (who called it quits back in 1991) have announced their long-awaited reunion and are in the studio recording a benefit EP containing four song covers.

Chris Colohan (Burning Love, Cursed) has posted on his blog explaining the motivation for Left For Dead’s reunion, happening in January at the A389 Recordings Showcase.  Colohan also reveals the cover art for the band’s forthcoming discography, Devoid of Everything, being released via A389 Recordings in time for the show.

Novemeber will see a return to our shores by Make Do And Mend together with Touche Amore. Both bands were out here last year, with Make Do And Mend on the Soundwave Counter Revolution lineup, while Touche Amore toured with Title Fight.

6131 Records have released the second studio video for the new Strife full length Witness A Rebirth. The new album is Strife's first new material in 11 years. Strife has enlisted names like Iggor Cavalera and members of Terror to help out with the new LP, only their fourth in a 21 year history.

Crime In Stereo have announced after a 2 year hiatus the band is getting back together again to play shows and record new material. The band will be playing a show in November with I Am The Avalanche.

In their search for a new singer, Shai Hulud have cast the net as wide as possible by offering anyone the chance to audition for the role. Simply download some of their songs, add your own vocal track and email it through. Sadly this also confirms Chad Gilbert won't be touring Australia with the band for Soundwave.

Epitaph have released a stream of the new Converge  album, All We Love We Leave Behind out October 12 in Australia on Epitaph Records with a vinyl edition on frontman Jacob Bannon's Deathwish Inc label.
