After nearly two decades, Jungle Fever’s cult classic Australian hardcore album Stayin’ Alive! will be available as a 12” vinyl LP for the very first time through Viper Death Lock Records.
Forming in Adelaide and eventually relocating to Sydney, the band were notorious for their raw 1980’s hardcore and frenetic live shows, while becoming a regular fixture across the underground Australian scenes of the 2000’s.
Originally released on CD in 2007 by Trial & Error records, the album was Jungle Fever’s last hurrah before disbanding and particularly leans into their Bad Brains and NYHC influences.
From bass player Joel...
21 years ago Jungle Fever recorded our album in the lounge room of the 258 - a townhouse that me and Trent Crawford lived in, on Ocean View Drive, Wamberal.
Trent recorded it, Nigel Melder released it on Trial And Error Records on CD and Cassette and now in 2026, Viper Deathlock are releasing it for the first time on vinyl.
5 members, split across 2 countries, and a bunch of kids… don’t expect shows… but, if like me - you’re a fan of an inconvenient audio medium that’s nearly 80 years old, pre orders go live on Monday, May 4th.
