Dillinger Four have returned with their first new track in 18 years, "Don't Happy Be Worry".
Singer and guitarist Erik Funk addressed the long gap, admitting there’s no clear explanation behind the band’s return: “The honest truth? I have no f...ng idea.”
He explained that while the band never stopped playing shows or writing, they simply “stopped finishing music,” emphasizing that Dillinger Four was never treated as a career, and therefore never came with that kind of pressure.
According to Funk, life outside the band (parenting, work, and everything in between) finally aligned in recent years, giving them space to start completing new material. Now, with a growing stack of songs, the band is ready to slowly roll them out, entirely on their own terms.
