COLLATERAL and BURNING LORD have teamed up for a split 7" through Fortress Records and Streets Of Hate Records.

Hardcore splits are interesting. They’re oftentimes a time capsule of the era that they were released in. Sometimes they come out and people will straight up forget about of the two bands involved (my god I hope that doesn’t happen here…). In older splits more often than newer ones you find slightly more dope recordings of a familiar favorite from a legendary band, or just some straight up one offs that aren’t available anywhere else, one track each side type deal. Needless to say they are a staple of hardcore, and I’m psyched that the first one on the label is with one of the current goats of the modern breed of hc, B-Lord and with Collateral, the flagbearer of Fortress HC.

More so can’t believe that this is finally out just for the fact that the idea was conceived just over a year ago at FYA 11 when AC and Jim came up to Tobby and I at the Collat/Fort table just saying “Yo… split ?” and we were on some “you dont even have to ask yo..” type response. We obviously announced for it to be out last fall but there were a few delays. Collateral’s been playing our side of the split live for some months now so maybe you’ve heard em already!
