I wrote the lyrics with the help of my wife about our eldest son who is autistic and has a significant developmental delay. Life gets tough for him and us to navigate at times, but the moments of pure joy he brings to our family’s life every single day are purely fucking magical. To quote his favourite book Giraffes Can’t Dance, “When you’re different, you just need a different song.”
