Melbourne, Australia’s Deliquesce are crafting frantic, brutal, technical death metal that will rattle your brain. Formed in 2019, the band made waves with 2023’s Cursed With Malevolence (DAZE) and now mark their return with Saviour / Enslaver out July 25th through BTK Recordings (USA) and Lacerated Enemy Records (Europe). Then ten songs on the album, produced by guitarist Adrian Cappelletti and mastered by Ayden Perry at Q4, unleash an unnerving and massive sonic blast.
Having already shared “Compound Dysphoria” featuring Sanguisugabogg, Deliquesce drop the frenetic "Cryptobotanical Anatomy” featuring guest vocals from Tenya of Australian hardcore band Threshold. The track contains dredging doomy parts layered with clean guitars, blisteringly chaotic sections stacked with unending riffs, and the band’s most varied vocal performance to date. Slam parts and infectious grooves assist Deliquesce in pushing the boundaries of death metal to their full extent.
On the song, the band share:
“The track is a devastating kind of ‘what if?’ scenario. Mythical creatures have returned to the earth at the end of its days just to be infected, tortured and exploited by the sickness of the human race. We do this to the animals we have at hand as it is.”
