A Kickstrater has been launched by the makers of the recent Deadguy documentary to release SNAPCASE: Legacy.

We propose to create a 90-minute independent music documentary that focuses on Buffalo, New York's Snapcase, based on the book “Optic: A visual archive” by Tom Bejgrowicz and Snapcase. This documentary aims to explore the band's history, impact on the punk and hardcore music scenes, and their significant contributions to the Buffalo scene. Our objective is to provide an in-depth look into Snapcase's journey, their influence, and the lasting legacy they are leaving behind.

We began shooting in July 2023 with a live performance and interviews at the Snapcase show at Crossroads in Garwood, New Jersey. Those interviews have been edited down into a super trailer, showcasing the outline of the story. This campaign will allow us to travel to Buffalo and beyond, interview key figures in the hardcore scene, and bring the documentary to completion. Picture lock is estimated to be in October 2025 with a film festival submissions, screenings and online distribution to follow immediately after.
