Sad news to hear that LEEWAY frontman Eddie Sutton has lost his battle with cancer.

Eddie was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021. A post on his Instagram says that he “passed peacefully in his sleep” on Friday, April 19.

LEEWAY are considered pioneers of the NYHC crossover thrash scene and released two classic albums "Born To Expire" and "Desperate Measures" with Eddie on vocals.

Eddie was also the first singer in Merauder and featured on the band's demo.

LEEWAY were booked to appear on This Is Hardcore fest, with expectations this will now be a tribute set with guest vocalists.
