Bite The Hand is the next band primed to make waves out of the Bay Area’s burgeoning hardcore scene. Formed in 2022, the five-piece released their EP, Down Comes the Bay, in October of that year, introducing a gripping, sociopolitical charged sound. Today the band announces Brutal By Design, their forthcoming EP set for release on March 8th through Big Bite Records. On Brutal By Design, Bite The Hand create a thrashy frenzy across five tracks. First taste comes in pissed off single “Day Of Pain,” out today with a crushing video directed and produced by guitarist Timmy Lodhi.
Sharing members with Spiritual Cramp, State Faults, and Absinthe Father, every member of Bite The Hand, masterminded by Lodhi, has been performing for over a decade. Mixed by Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Brutal By Design has a sonic drive that draws from the bounce of classic California hardcore bands and infuses a sharp, tough, full sound. Lyrically, the songs range from addressing class struggle and racial inequality to looking back with regret and acceptance of self. The record is just as furious as the band’s live show, and they’ve already shared the stage with peers like Sabertooth Zombie, Big Boy, and Initiate.
With Brutal By Design, Bite The Hand have created an urgent, honest, riff-filled EP that is meant to rile you up and leave you wanting more.
Bite The Hand is GVB - Vocals, Timmy Lodhi - Guitar, Jacob Breeze - Guitar, Travis Pacheco - Bass, and Jared Cortland - Drums.
