VICIOUS CIRCLE formed in 1983 in Melbourne Australia and quickly established themselves as a prolific outfit playing and recording building momentum with their powerful live performances and record releases .
In the decades that followed the band has released multiple albums (15 and counting) on labels throughout the world and toured Australia, America, Europe , Asia ,United Kingdom, New Zealand, the band has always maintained their independence and followed a path which is uniquely theirs not interested in trends, staying true to their roots !!!
VICIOUS CIRCLE now drop their 16th album "SPLIT THIS OPEN" via 1054 Records continuing the legacy that started decades ago, blending street punk ,hardcore and metal in their own distinctive way.
Some knowledge…
Vicious Circle started touring early on and made frequent trips interstate to build up a local and National base at home in OZ and were the first Australian hardcore band to tour America/ overseas in 1986 playing with the likes of Final Conflict, Attitude Adjustment, Agnostic Front , MDC, MIA, Life Sentence, Doggy Style, Crucifix, among others and have had album releases on three of the most vital independent labels to come out of Australia Reactor THE PRICE OF PROGRESS, Waterfront INTO THE VOID and Resist PERFECT WORLD DISASTER, they also had records locally released on labels throughout America, FLIPSIDE,BONER Europe UK C.O.R MANIC EARS which was uncommon in the 80s and have had records reissued recently through Europe POWER IT UP and recent recordings in America NOT LIKE YOU.
