Brisbane band SALT MONEY have announced a new LP, Love of My Life, out December 9th, 2022 through Bad Habit and Lumens.
Salt Money is a band from Brisbane, Australia with a chaotic and emotional sound reminiscent of early 2000s screamo and post-hardcore. Drawing further influences from metalcore and black metal, they present a unique reinterpretation of an often overlooked region of the heavy music landscape. Their upcoming LP, Love of my Life, is set to breathe new life into the Australian heavy world when it releases on December 9th, 2022.
Salt Money is part of the Lumens House collective, which is run by three of the five members of the band. It’s the conduit through which we channel almost all our artistic output, and officially started in June 2020. It’s also our home, where we live, so we’ve been able to easily keep collaborating during COVID-19 lockdowns. Salt Money includes members of Hanoi Traffic, Lumens, Spear of Schlonginus, & MYRA TV. Lumens was our first band together, and thus the namesake of the house. We’ve previously collaborated with Team Glasses Records (Brisbane, Australia), Life.Lair.Regret (Melbourne, Australia), Really Rad Records (USA), Illuminate My Heart Records (USA), Utarid Tapes (Malaysia), and 838a Records (Malaysia).
