Sydney band HELLMENN have debuted an unreleased track from 1990 titled "I've Got Cockroaches In The House".

The track will appear on Hanging Onto The 90s: Sound As Ever 90-99 compilation #4.

“This tune was kicking around when we recorded the 'Mourning of the Earth' LP and it did not make the cut. A version of this song eventually surfaced as a B-side to the ‘Homegrown’ 7”. Both the LP and the single came out on Waterfront Records in late 1990. This version is a bit rougher around the edges and has stupid meaningless lyrics which reflect life in a share house in those times - the old story of coming home late from a night out and turning a light on to find a wild cockroach party going on in your place… and of course skungey surf punks don’t want to unleash chemicals on the environment to eradicate these guys… even if they are pests!...It poses a first world ethical dilemma.”
