Wollongong band Nosedive have dropped their latest single ‘Bad Mood’ through Best Wishes Records. The single was recorded, mixed and mastered by Matt Clarke of Bastadizer in his home studio during the pandemic.
This release comes off the back of their 2020 two track demo Murder Minded/Nice Way to Die. Due to the pandemic, the songs never got a release show, and the band felt like they missed out on giving these tracks the welcome they deserved. Now with things gearing up again in 2021, they’re dropping this melancholic anthem for the year that never was.
The vocalist, Josh explains: “The track is an attempt to explain that feeling deep down in your gut when things just aren’t going your way, is it anger or sadness? You start digging a hole and before you know it you can’t see a way out of the mood you’re in. It came from having our plans in 2020 ruined and needing to find an alternative for our creative output. Everything was so uncertain it really put us all in a funk. Bad Mood is the product of that feeling”
The track is available now through the Best Wishes Records Bandcamp Page, Spotify, Youtube and all major streaming services.
