New Age Records will release a new EP for LIFE FORCE titled "Hope and Defiance". The band has released a track off the EP titled "Out Front" that features guest vocals from Tim McMahon of Hands Tied, Mouthpiece, Search fame, while Life Force features former Shai Hulud guitarist Matt Fletcher.

Life Force is a straight edge hardcore band out of Texas/Oklahoma. The group was formed in 2018 with a clear focus: the mission of paying homage to the sound, aesthetic, and spirit of classic youth crew inspiration, albeit with a darker modern twist, while expressing pertinent socio-political themes and opinions through engaging lyrical content and a poignant on-stage message.

This push to put message at the forefront is (or should be) a vital component of the experience that is a hardcore band. The message, in this instance, is made up of an assortment of subjects, ranging from continuous positive self-development, veganism, straight edge, radical politics, and more.

The musical inspiration for the band was to create something that was clear and coherent in approach and style, building a sound that is unique and fresh while still calling back to obvious influences from the past and present.

With these combined elements, Life Force strives to forge a bond between band and audience, whether that means in a live setting or otherwise, that reinforces the core idea that a scene, a city, and even the world can be changed for the better through critical thought, persistence of will, and an ongoing commitment to first embodying this positive change at a personal level.
